While Bass fishing is probably the most popular of game fish Northern Pike are one of our favorites and are a challenge to catch as well.

We saw these Sampo Ball Berring Swivels at a local fishing tackle shop. These heavy duty ball berring swivels are made for salt water fishing. I thought of about a dozen uses for these when I saw them; key rings, attaching loops of 550 cord to knives and tools, flashlight attachments, digital cameras and cell phones. Saguaro Tackle and Archery in Tucson Arizona sponsors a fishing tournament for southern Arizona. This year the 2009 Border Battle will be held at Patagonia Lake as well as one month (June) at San Carlos Lake. Once a month join the other fishermen at this exciting and competitive tournament. We took a few of the electronic outdoor equipment out to compare how they work. We compare features of the Garmin Legend GPS, the Garmin Rino 120 GPS and a Motorola Talkabout T6320 Radio. These are some of the most feature rich units we have found over the years at prices we could afford. These units give us a lot of information and abilities when camping, hiking, hunting, fishing and geocaching. Usually we pass the units around or if everyone has their own radio / GPS then the Rino is carried and the other two units are carried in the pack as backups. We were asked to review this Survival II Card pocket tool from Tool Logic. This version is in blue with a red LED light. Other models have a Compass / Magnifying Lens instead of the light, or a gray smoke color card. This handy little tool has enough useful features that it would be an excellent addition to any first aid or survival kit.
